According to the research conducted by the Civil Network OPORA, which have made quantitative and qualitative analysis of parliamentary law-making activeness, All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland was the most active parliamentary faction in law-making activities. It has introduced 86 bills in January. The most passive are the communists – only 7 legislative initiatives.

Policy and state administration were topical issues for deputies after holidays – 100 bills were registered. Economy and finances (64 bills) have taken the second place, after which go law-enforcement system and justice (40), and social sphere (25). Security and defense, foreign policy and environment issues were not very interesting to parliamentary members, even less

In January, MPs have submitted 269 bills, conducted 2 days of plenary session, and adopted 9 bills and 19 resolutions. It is significant, that all of them were initiated by the President or the Government.

OPORA will continue to watch parliamentary activities and inform the society about the most interesting facts.

Among the deputies, the member of All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland faction, Volodymyr Yavorivskyi, is on the top of the law-making activeness rating. Still, most of which he submitted concerned the introduction of holidays and memorable dates, what is less socially important issue in comparison to social, economic, or legal issues.

In contrast to December, when the All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda hasn’t submitted any bills, the faction's Head Oleh Tiahnybok has taken the second place in the individual parliamentary activeness rating. As for Vitalii Klychko, Arsenii Yatseniuk, Serhii Mishchenko, and Anatolii Hrytsenko, they have submitted 8 draft laws each. Deputies from pro-power factions didn't manage to get into the top three leaders in the rating. Members of parliament have also submitted 99 interfactional initiatives.
