Use the MP in a right way! Video hint for active citizens

Allocating social benefits, payments and financial assistance, appealing against court decisions, solving family and everyday disputes – all these issues, despite being so important to you, do not belong to duties of an MP of Ukraine, who represents citizen interests in the Parliament. Thus, each MP has duties and powers, which may help to improve significantly the quality of voter life, it they fulfilled and used.

Civil Network OPORA has created a short awareness video to inform the citizens about duties of MPs, under the USAID's Accountability, Responsibility, and Democratic Parliamentary Representation (RADA) Program, supported by the Eastern European Fund. You are welcome to enjoy the hints in this small video, especially useful for those voters who seeks for ways of cooperation with an MP.

We remind that OPORA implements an awareness and monitoring project in 2016 under the USAID's Accountability, Responsibility, and Democratic Parliamentary Representation (RADA) Program, supported by the Eastern European Fund. The project is aimed to involve the citizens in parliamentary processes, and increase their awareness about activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, parliamentary factions and Members of Parliament of Ukraine.

Besides that, OPORA has created a national map of public receptions (rada.oporaua.org/map/), which is now being tested, and the data is being constantly updated. This resource is a step to improvement of communication between the voters and politicians, and, as a result, to openness and transparency of parties.
